There were a few that showed up. Jim & Lisa didn't because a family member came home from school with the plague. There's always next year.
It seems that the pandemic may have waned enough that we might, maybe plan on commemorating 25 years of WetWesties.
Catherine Creek State Park is where it all began in 1997. Come celebrate with us in a quiet wayside campground. Just a bunch of new and old friends camping together.
Catherine Creek is a first come, first serve campground, but we've been doing this for so long that the Park Manager allows us to reserve about a dozen sites and we can double/triple/quadruple up if need be. So, no individual reservations are needed.
More details as promised.
The Delta variant of COVID-19 is very much with us. We will be following the CDC guidelines in effect at the time of our gathering. If you haven't yet been vaccinated, please consider doing so.
As of August 11, there is an open flame ban at state parks not on the coast. This ban allows propane cook stoves, but specifically disallows propane fire-pits. This could change if the state gets a couple inches of rain this month. (Don't count on it.)
I'm expecting the fee to be ~$25/bus for Friday night-Saturday night camping.
