Camano Island State Park Camp Out
Come and camp with us at one of Washington State's most beautiful campgrounds!
Camano Island State Park is a 134-acre camping park with 6,700 feet of rocky shoreline and beach. The park provides sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and offers opportunities for shellfish harvesting.
Bring your binoculars and try to spot the resident gray whale named "Patch".
Also eagles in the trees, nice trails and one of the closest campouts to Seattle & the I-5 corridor.
Camano Island is about 40 miles north of Seattle and then 20 miles west of I-5.
We camp down the hill in the "Lower Loop" closest to the water.
The potluck serving line starts Saturday at 6 PM so it's best to bring your contribution and set up before that time. There is no good available covered area, so we build our own from patio canopies tied together if needed. Site location for the potluck is to be determined based who has space at their site and would like to have it there. Bring a dish of your choosing and a chair. If you can, bring a table and canopy. IT'S ALWAYS FUN !!!
Note that the standard practice of the WetWesties is that RSVP's are not expected, nor required. We don't know who is showing up, head counts, etc. So this is your formal invitation. We like to see familiar faces as well as new ones and hope to see yours.
The Host is John Seehorn. He has posted this and several other events for the year in December of 2019. He plans to attend all of the events but does not guarantee it. Check Facebook page WetWesties - The Pacific Northwest VW Camping Society for details, questions, updates and to put yourself on the "Who's going" list if you like. This event will also be posted on WetWesties.org in the calendar section. Feel free to pass on links of this event to your favorite site. We hope to see you there!
