Third Annual Bayview Work Party

We received word at this year's Bayview campout from our favorite park official, Laurie, that the work party is on for April 12, 13 and 14.

Any BC Meetup or WetWesties that would like to camp for FREE in the back campground while assisting the park staff with the Bay View State Park annual spring clean up is welcome to attend. This is a fairly light duty clean up, we'll be directed by Laurie as to what needs to be done. Raking, trimming, picking up branches etc... Bring your favorite clean up tool (rake, loppers, shovel etc...) and gloves. Dress for the weather. We will all meet near the upper restroom a few minutes before 10 Saturday morning and work till noon and then have lunch. Last year Laurie brought a couple versions of her wonderful chili and nobody left hungry. Later that evening we will have our normal potluck. The food line starts at 6 so you should have your contribution set up before then. It's always good to bring chairs. Tables and pop up canopies are helpful depending on weather and what kinds of picnic tables are available.

The FREE camping will be limited to "standard" campsites numbered 31 to 76 in the back area. There are no water or power hook ups in the standard sites. Questions and discussion about the camp out can be posted on facebook at WetWesties - The Pacific Northwest VW Camping Society. Park reservations and camping fees do not apply for this volunteer work party
