Bayview State Park on Padilla Bay March 17 - 19, 2017
This is a very popular campout that many use to start their camping season.
Located just west of Burlington off I-5 on highway 20, it can also be accessed from Conway to the south with a nice drive thru the tulip fields.
Many friends from BC join the Washington campers.
Washington Residents age 62 and older can get a reduced cost senior off season pass for $75 - Good from Nov thru April. No service sites are free, serviced sites cost $10 - reservations cost $8 on line.
Sites 10 to 38 are set up in an open sunny circle surrounding a grassy field.
For the last 2 years we filled every available campsite and so have been allowed to park 2 vans per site, but to have room means we must reserve all available sites early!
This year the reservation site shows all 75 sites will be open and reservable for this weekend, but the back ones (40 to 75) are typically muddy, so please reserve sites 10 thru 38 NOW.
Campfires are OK so bring wood so we can all enjoy a roaring fire.
The Pot Luck is Saturday at 5PM. There is no good available covered area, so we build our own from patio canopies tied together. IT'S FUN !!!
Less than a mile to the north is Padilla Bay National Saltwater Estuary Reserve. To the south s a fine trail along the dike system on the water.
Dining can be found in Anacortes - where Gere a Deli is a favorite, or Bow/Edison for bakeries and other comfort food.
Note that the standard practice of the Wetwesties is that RSVP's are not expected, nor required.
We don't know who is showing up, head counts, etc. So this is your formal invitation. Please show up if you can and we'll find a place for you.
Reserve at https://washington.goingtocamp.com/ AND SAVE $$ or call 1-888-226-7688 and speak to an agent for a higher fee.
